History

Arc Electric has been family owned and operated for over fifty years. Robert Manning, with his wife Virginia, started the company in 1953 after serving as an Electrician in the Navy during WWII. Robert started the business out of his house on Grand Ave in Newport, Kentucky. As Arc Electric, and Roberts family grew, eleven kids in all, the need for a new office became clear. Robert then moved the business away from the home and into a new office area in the 1960?s on Taylor Avenue in Bellevue, Kentucky. Arc Electric would again move one more to Wilder, Kentucky in the 1980?s.Arc Electric has always stood by quality electrical and HVAC work. In 1962, Robert Manning spearheaded a campaign to establish a standard electrical code in Northern Kentucky.

Robert and other electrical contractors petitioned the Campbell County Fiscal Court in 1962, and late the ordinance was adopted that was based on the National Electric Code and required standards for safety in Electrical Construction. This marked the beginning of the Northern Kentucky Electrical Authority, and created a benchmark for quality el3ectrical work that is still adhered to this day.

In 1963, Robert Manning opened up the Heating and Air-Conditioning department of Arc Electric and to this day the company has been providing quality Heating and Air Conditioning for 47 years.
